No Amber, and Why?

No you can not shave your legs.

No you can not tweeze your eyebrows. (spell check is saying tweeze is not a word?)

No you can not wear make-up that looks like you put it on 2 days ago and rubbed your eyes profusely.

No you can not wear shorts in 35 degree weather.

No you can not go to a movie without an adult, and no your friends 14 year old sister doesn't count.

No you can not wear your Sperry's with no laces in them. As a matter of fact, laces or not, those are by far the ugliest shoes I have ever seen. Worse then the Uggs.

Why did you color the laces and tops of your Chuck Taylors with a highlighter?

Why are you wearing those jeans if you need a wire hanger to pull up the zipper?

Why did you ask for scarves for Christmas if you never wear them?

Why does a 10 year old that isn't allowed to go anywhere have a cell phone?

Why am I still dealing with all of these issues when she only just got 2 of the four things back that I took away from her almost a month ago?

My daughter is going to be the death of me. She threw herself on the couch this morning in despair because I won't let her wear shorts to school. I'm not going to be 'that mother', although as I look around apparently there are a lot of 'those mothers'. Then she busts out with make-up on. So as we race for the bell we are changing clothes, and removing make-up this morning all while the little talking head is going on...and on...and on....about who knows what. My head was spinning by the time we sat down in the car.

God bless little girls. I was not, and have never been a drama queen. I was always considered one of the guys. I've even been considered the 'man' in the relationship. I don't whine, I don't complain, to the point that I think it frustrates others. I just don't. So I have a hard time relating to the horrific drama of a particular pair of pants not being washed, or breaking down because I want to pull my laces out of my shoes. I just....don't get it. All I know is that it's killing me.

Daughters are here to drive moms crazy for sure!!!

Shorts in the winter is a southern thing - we northern girls would never have thought of that - ever!!!

There are plenty of those moms and Danielle looks at me like I am nuts when I tell her I will not be the mom that everyone talks about.

I am at the point that I refuse to buy her any form of clothing that she is not with me to get, try on and swear on the bible that she will wear.

She is cutting coupons for cell phones and giving them to Joe (who works for Verizon) Is she kidding -if Amber is under tight wraps Danielle is living in prison - she is never anywhere without me, Joe, Nana or one of our siblings.

I am not a drama queen either - I don't know if it is not in our blood or if we just knew our parents would not deal with DRAMA!!!

I am wearing down myself - I love my kids and husband but between the 3 of them I am trying to go to a hotel room by myself for just one night - wanna come???

PS - Lisa and Stephanie, don't laugh at us you will be there soon - trust us!!! :)

Oh I agree. Seriously...wearing shorts in 35 degree weather is just stupid. Who wants to be cold all day long?

I agree Sperry's -- the ugliest shoes ever! Dave asked for a pair for this birthday this year and I said anything but that…you wear a size 15 if you wear those you will give a new meaning to the word boat shoes.

I can't stand when someone marks up clothing with a highlighter I didn't get it in 5th grade and will never understand.

Don't worry I'll be calling you Colleen and Marie in a couple of years for advice. I know I’ve got it easy now.

ok, so I'm not the only one who wants to give up the mommy title because of my daughter? :)
Alyssa begs on a daily basis for a cell phone. She claims "she's the only one in her class without one"
My reply, "Brianna doesn't have one"(did she forget I knew she was in her class?)
On the plus side she has been doing extra work around the house. Maybe thinking we'll give in.

JUST WAIT IT GETS BETTER! DAUGHTERS ARE A BLESSING FROM ABOVE, AND SOME DAYS WE WANT TO PUT THEM BACK THERE, BUT SERIOUSLY I WOULD NOT TRADE MINE IN. ALL THREE OF THEM ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER AND YET ALIKE. I LOVE THEM ALL AND YES TWO OF THEM STILL DRIVE ME CRAZY ON A DAILY BASIS. HANG IN THERE, WHEN SHE IS OLDER YOU WILL NO LONGER NOT KNOW ANYTHING, AND YOU WILL BE LOVED.
